Thor: The Dark World Merchandise

To help promote Thor's second film, Marvel used synergy throughout their merchandise. The merchandise can be bought by any fan easily and allows fans to have something related to the film. The cups, hat and stationary set would be aimed at mainly children or young teenagers as it would be more 'useful' to them. The actions figures, however, have a wider age range for an audience as anyone could buy them. Eventhough older people may not actually use the action figures, they may keep them as collectibles, mint in box, in hopes that they may be worth something in the future. The Lego game and action figures are an example of cross media convergence as Marvel and Lego have co-operated so that they can both make a profit off the marchandise.
